Twin Rivers Paper Company Completes Sale of Pine Bluff Unbleached Kraft Mill

Earlier today we notified our employees that we have completed the sale of Twin Rivers’ unbleached Kraft paper mill in Pine Bluff, Arkansas to American Kraft Paper Industries, an affiliate of the global industrial group American Industrial Acquisition Corporation (AIAC). The sale of Pine Bluff is aligned with Twin Rivers’ strategy of prioritizing the growth of our core specialty papers business and product offering and investing in our Madawaska and New York assets.

Avery Dennison Announces Third Quarter 2020 Results

Third Quarter 2020 Results: Net sales were $1.73 billion, down 1.8%. Sales were down 1.3% ex. currency, and down 3.6% on an organic basis. Reported operating margin increased 100 basis points to 12.3%. Adjusted EBITDA margin increased 190 basis points to 16.1%, while adjusted operating margin increased 140 basis points to 13.1%. Reported net income was $1.79 per share, up 5%, and adjusted net income was $1.91 per share, up 15%, both of which were above the company’s expectations, reflecting a sales decline below the low end of its outlook range in July. Year-to-date free cash flow was $342 million, up 4.4% compared to the same period last year.

Effective with all new and existing orders with confirmed delivery dates of January 15, 2018 or later, Verso Corporation is increasing the transaction price of all Uncoated Freesheet Grades by $2.00/cwt US ($2.55/cwt CAD), including but not limited to: Ideal Offset; Ideal Reply Card. The increase applies to all basis weights, bulks, finishes and related private label grades.
