TC Transcontinental’s Near-Term Emissions Targets Approved by the Science Based Targets initiative

Transcontinental inc. (TSX: TCL.A TCL.B) announces an important milestone in its sustainability journey. The Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi) has approved TC Transcontinental’s near-term science-based emissions reduction targets. From now on, these targets will serve as TC Transcontinental’s primary measurement of progress on its sustainability objectives, including energy efficiency, clean energy procurement, and the commercialization of sustainable packaging solutions such as recycle-ready packaging solutions as well as the integration of post-consumer resin (PCR) into packaging products.

With this acquisition, Lakeside will enhance its service offering with access to the Canadian market, while improving lead time and overall service capabilities for small and large publishers alike. Marquis will operate as a division of Lakeside. Dave McCree, Lakeside’s Chief Executive Officer, will lead the business. Serge Loubier will continue to manage Marquis, continuing in his capacity as president.

First Installation of RMGT 10 Series Press Powered by LED-UV in Chicago

In late September 2017, the first RMGT 10 Series Press powered by LED-UV curing and featuring a full suite of RMGT makeready and print quality technology, will be installed at VISOgraphic’s 40,000-sq.-ft. facility based here. When Chicago area commercial, digital and packaging printer VISOgraphic began its search for the new 40” offset printing press that would propel them through the growth spurt they are experiencing, the RMGT 10 Series really wasn't on its radar. However, after several meetings and visits to key RMGT customers in the Midwest, the decision to move ahead with RMGT was made by the VISOgraphic management team.
