Quad/Graphics, Inc. announced that Julie Currie has joined the Company as its new Executive Vice President & Chief Revenue Officer. Currie succeeds Renee Badura, Executive Vice President of Sales & Marketing, who is retiring from Quad after 34 years of service to the Company. Currie brings a wealth of marketing, retail and CPG client services knowledge to Quad, a marketing solutions partner with a unique integrated service platform that helps clients reduce the complexity of working with multiple agency partners, increase content workflow efficiencies, and improve the effectiveness of their overall marketing spend. Currie’s experience leading organizational change and transformation, and her keen understanding of data and analytics, will provide immeasurable value to Quad and its clientele.

Due to a potential shortage of photoinitiators as reported earlier this week by the European Printing Ink Association (EuPIA), Sun Chemical customers that receive energy curable inks could experience product delivery delays in the future. Governmental initiatives and regulations geared toward environmental protection have led to many suppliers of photoinitiators to either cease or reduce production for limited periods of time. Electronics For Imaging, Inc. announced its results for the second quarter of 2017. For the quarter ended June 30, 2017, the Company reported record second quarter revenue of $247.0 million, up 1% compared to second quarter 2016 revenue of $245.7 million. GAAP net income was $2.8 million, down 47% compared to $5.2 million for the same period in 2016 or $0.06 per diluted share, down 45% compared to $0.11 per diluted share for the same period in 2016. Non-GAAP net income was $25.5 million, down 4% compared to non-GAAP net income of $26.7 million for the same period in 2016 or $0.54 per diluted share, down 4% compared to $0.56 per diluted share for the same period in 2016.
