Sean Krajnik appointed Vice President & General Manager, Biron Mill

Catalyst Paper today announced the appointment of Sean Krajnik as Vice President & General Manager of the Biron mill, effective January 2, 2018.

Mr. Krajnik brings extensive experience in the pulp and paper industry to his new role. He has spent more than 20 years in the coated specialty papers segment working in progressively senior roles, including product development, quality management, technical services, and production and mill management. Most recently, Mr. Krajnik was the mill manager of a major Las Vegas-based tissue, paper and converting facility.

Mr. Krajnik holds a Bachelor of Science from the University of Wisconsin and several post-graduate certification programs, including Paper Science, Rapid Lean 6 Sigma and High Performance Management.

New Mill Capital Holdings, Infinity Assets, Camjay LLC Purchase Maine Mill Assets of Pixelle Specialty Solutions

GT2 Redevelopment LLC, a Joint Venture of New Mill Capital Holdings, Infinity Asset Solutions and Camjay LLC, has acquired the assets of Pixelle Specialty Solutions in Jay, ME. The acquisition includes the real estate of the main paper mill site as well as all mill equipment and the adjacent cogeneration power plant. “We are thrilled to have acquired the Jay mill and plan on making a significant investment to bring economic life back to the property,” said Tony McDonald, President of Camjay. “The site’s heavy infrastructure can be repurposed for a variety of industrial uses, and we have already started the process of identifying potential new users for the property.”
