PRINTING United Alliance Applauds Inaugural Congressional Printing Caucus (piworld.com)

PRINTING United Alliance, the most comprehensive member-based printing and graphic arts association in North America, applauds the formation of the inaugural Congressional Printing Caucus in the U.S. House of Representatives. This first-of-its-kind bipartisan Caucus will focus on advancing a public policy agenda that benefits and protects America’s printing industry and its rich, diverse, and varied communities.

In the 118th Congress, Representatives Claudia Tenney (R-NY-24), Mark Pocan (D-WI-2), Lori Chavez-DeRemer (R-OR-5), and Jared Golden (D-ME-2) will serve as co-chairs representing the U.S. printing industry. ACG Advocacy, the Washington, D.C. lobbying firm representing the Alliance, is in the process of identifying additional Members of Congress that share an interest in the public policy challenges and opportunities in the printing industry.

The Caucus will provide the Alliance with regular opportunities to educate a core group of lawmakers and their staff about the issues, legislation, and regulations that have a potential effect on the printing industry.

Personalization as a megatrend – Heidelberg showcasing digital printing solutions at InPrint 2017

Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG will be presenting digital printing solutions for the automotive sector at stand 372 at InPrint 2017 in Munich from 14 to 16 November. These solutions help providers from the sector to offer their customers personalized, attractive products – using digitally realized designs that are in ever greater demand given the megatrend of personalization. Using the example of a smart car, Heidelberg will be hosting live demos at InPrint showing how digitization and new printing technologies enable individual small series or individual parts to be quickly and easily realized. The items on show at the trade fair will range from custom-decorated speedometer bezels and ventilation nozzles to alloy rims.
