Oji Holdings invests into a new containerboard machine in Malaysia

Oji Holdings Corporation, a leader in the pulp and paper industry of Japan, decided to start-up a new containerboard machine at Paperboard & Packaging Sdn Bhd (GSPP) located in Malaysia. The company plans to commence the operation in April 2021.

According to the announcement, by starting a new container manufacturing machine, Oji wants to be able to respond to the mentioned business, business and business expansion.

The investment into 450ktpa machine accounts for around JPY 35 billion (including containerboard machine and equipment for energy supply and water treatment). The machine will produce liner, corrugating medium.
