Glatfelter announced that its Advanced Airlaid Materials Business Unit (AMBU) was recently recognized for exemplary core values and excellent service by Rockline Industries during their annual State of Rockline strategic supplier event in Sheboygan, Wisconsin on October 4, 2017. The Supply RRITE Award recognizes the supplier that best demonstrates the Rockline core values of Renew, Respect, Integrity, Teamwork and Excellence. Rockline is one of the world’s largest private-label manufacturers of coffee filters and consumer, medical and commercial wet wipes. Glatfelter supplies Rockline with airlaid materials manufactured at its facility in Gatineau, Quebec, Canada. Glatfelter also manufactures airlaid materials in its Falkenhagen, Germany facility, and is planning to be operational with its first U.S. airlaid facility in Fort Smith, Arkansas by early 2018. Mondi plc announces that it has entered into an agreement to sell its most significant facility in Russia, Joint Stock Company Mondi Syktyvkar, together with two affiliated entities to Augment Investments Limited for a consideration of RUB 95 billion, payable in cash on completion. The proposed Disposal follows Mondi’s announcement on 4 May 2022 that, having assessed all options for the Group’s interests in Russia, it had decided to divest its Russian assets. Accordingly, Mondi launched a competitive auction process to find a suitable new owner for Syktyvkar. Syktyvkar is a wholly owned integrated pulp, packaging paper and uncoated fine paper mill located in Syktyvkar (Komi Republic). The Business employs approximately 4,500 people and it is a leading provider of uncoated fine paper and containerboard to the domestic Russian market.

UPM Raflatac has acquired Grafityp, a Belgian-based company to further accelerate its growth in graphics solutions. Merging UPM Raflatac’s existing Graphics business with Grafityp will strengthen UPM Raflatac’s overall competitive positioning in this attractive product segment, expand its portfolio and give access to high-value new technologies. Both parties have agreed not to disclose the purchase price or other transaction details. Grafityp is a well-established company with more than 50 years of history and a pioneer in developing and manufacturing self-adhesive graphics solutions. Today it is known for its strong brands and product portfolio consisting of colour films, print films for large format colour printing, laminates and wrapping films for various end-uses. The company has approximately 100 employees and has a manufacturing site in Houthalen, Belgium and a distribution centre in the UK.
