Lacerta Group LLC recently invested in expanded regional capabilities, new facilities, and innovative technology to strengthen our commitment to end-to-end customer service. Lacerta is a leading provider of innovative thermoformed packaging solutions that has built its reputation on product integrity, speed to market, and customer care. The acquisition of a facility in the Midwest and larger, consolidated warehousing space in the Northeast is helping customers across the country get packaging products faster and at a competitive price. Lacerta recently opened a fully refurbished and consolidated warehouse center in Attleboro, Mass.

Lacerta also acquired the production facility and other assets of Portage Plastics Corporation in late 2022, expanding services in the Midwest and West markets. The 70,000-square-foot manufacturing and warehouse space include 11 thermoformers for production.

These recent investments complement Lacerta’s existing capabilities and locations in Massachusetts and Chatsworth, California. The company is highly invested in thermoforming technology, with 48 state-of-the-art, high-robotic thermoforming lines.

Sonoco ThermoSafe has launched a new range of reusable, universal solutions for the pharmaceutical and biologics markets. ChillTech® is a pre-qualified range of 2°C to 8°C PCM systems providing exceptional temperature control from 2 days up to 6 days for payloads from 4L to 40L. ChillTech® utilizes Sonoco ThermoSafe's patented Zero Bench-Time® technology, where systems can be packed-out straight from the freezer, saving customers space, time and money. Similar shippers on the market are qualified for just 4-days and typically use high-value components, which translate into higher costs for customers.
