Billerud Appoints New President for North America

Paper Excellence announced today that several key roles have been filled as work to restart the Prince Albert pulp mill ramps up. Charles Ray was hired as Director, Project Delivery and is responsible for ensuring the project is constructed on time, within budget and in accordance with all safety and environmental standards. The other following individuals have also recently joined the Prince Albert team: Bob Hajnal – Project Safety Manager; Brett Knoll – QA/QC Project Manager; Dale Richardson – Community Relations Manager; Blair Rydberg – Power and Recovery Manager; Heather Walker – Operations Administration Assistant; Brett Young – DCS/Power Distribution Project Manager.

Ahlstrom-Munksjö establishes a partnership with Spanish sports and life style accessories company BUFF® to provide filter media for face masks. The BUFF® face masks are now available in the United States and Canada following a launch in Europe in June. Each BUFF® face mask includes five single-use filters in the original packaging. Replacement filters are sold separately in packs of 30 units.

Ahlstrom-Munksjö has signed the majority of the main contracts for civil works and machinery to build a new glass fiber tissue line facility located in Madisonville, Kentucky, U.S. The construction of the building will start in February 2022. The building and civil works are scheduled to be fully completed in summer 2023. The location of the new building is next to the existing Ahlstrom-Munksjö production site developing and producing filtration materials for transportation and industrial applications. “The positive progress with this new investment demonstrates our commitment to customers in North America.
