Berry Global Wins Prestigious Sustainability Award for Circular Solution that Minimizes Plastic Waste

Recognized in the Food/Beverage category, Berry Global Group, Inc. (NYSE: BERY) received a Technology Excellence Award from The Association for Packaging and Processing Technologies (PMMI) for its Proxima tethered closure with tamper-evident band. This innovative packaging solution cuts down on waste by securing the closure to the bottle and improving recyclability.

We have identified areas of work needed to address issues identified by stakeholders, in combination with requirements embedded in the revised FSC Principles & Criteria (Version 5) and associated International Generic Indicators. Materials, analysis and recommendations developed by these consultants will inform the efforts of the FM Revision Working Group in the following areas: •Protections for Indigenous Peoples and their rights; •Family Forest indicators and guidance and associated terminology used in the standard; •FSC US Region boundaries and regional requirements. Bulgaria joins the PEFC alliance

“The benefit of PEFC is that we are responsible for the development of our own national forest certification system,” said Antony Stefanov, from the Council for Sustainable Forest Management and Certification in Bulgaria. “This means we can ensure that our specific needs are taken into account, which is particularly important for our many small- and family-forest owners.” “We are delighted to have been accepted into the PEFC alliance,” Mr. Stefanov continued, following the acceptance of Bulgaria as a PEFC national member.
