Atlantic’s three commercial paperboard and fine paper converting facilities are all True Zero Waste certified!

TRUE (Total Resource Use and Efficiency) Zero Waste certified facilities divert a minimum of 90 percent of their waste from landfills, incinerators, and the environment.

TRUE is a zero waste certification program verified by Green Business Certification Inc. (GBCI), an independent organization that provides third-party verification and credentialing of systems and business practices relating to sustainability.

Atlantic’s TRUE certifications prove our organization’s commitment to building a healthy, sustainable future.

As an increasing amount of waste places a strain on resources and communities, sustainable resource management and waste reduction practices create positive environmental, health, and economic outcomes.

Special thanks to Jud Douglass, Atlantic’s Zero Waste Supervisor, for overseeing the certification of our three solid bleached sulfate (SBS) paperboard and fine paper converting facilities.

Sierra Nevada Brewing Company Taps Kimberly-Clark Professional to Recycle Used Gloves at its California and North Carolina Facilities

To the Sierra Nevada Brewing Co. sustainability is not simply an initiative, it is integral to every aspect of its operations. The company has won numerous local, state and national awards for its efforts and its Chico, California, headquarters has onsite wastewater treatment and composting facilities as well as the largest solar installation of any craft brewer. Sierra Nevada has taken another step in its sustainability journey - diverting thousands of pounds of nitrile gloves from its manufacturing waste stream through The RightCycle Program from Kimberly-Clark Professional. Since 2016, the company has diverted more than 6,800 pounds of gloves, equivalent to the weight of more than 450 bowling balls. Click Read More below for additional information.
