Adobe Introduces Adobe Content Authenticity Web App to Champion Creator Protection and Attribution

Adobe (Nasdaq:ADBE) announced a new free web app, Adobe Content Authenticity, designed to help creators protect and receive attribution for their work with Content Credentials. Content Credentials are like a “nutrition label” for digital content, serving as secure metadata that anyone can attach to their work to share information about themselves and provide context about how their content was created and edited. Since founding the Content Authenticity Initiative in 2019, Adobe has championed the widespread adoption of Content Credentials as the industry standard for transparency in digital content, now supported by over 3,700 members. As concerns over misinformation and AI-generated deepfakes have grown, Content Credentials have become a valuable tool for publishers, allowing them to provide key information about digital content to helps consumers assess its trustworthiness. Now with the web app, Adobe is unlocking the full potential of Content Credentials, helping creators protect their work from misuse or misrepresentation and build a more trustworthy and transparent digital ecosystem for everyone.

The Postal Regulatory Commission issued its analysis of the United States Postal Service Fiscal Year 2019 Annual Performance Report and FY 2020 Performance Plan. FedEx Announces 2018 General Rate Increase: What it Means for Retailers

FedEx Express, FedEx Ground and FedEx Freight, subsidiaries of FedEx Corp., will increase shipping rates effective Jan. 1, 2018 by an average of 4.9 percent. Potentially one of the most impactful changes comes with the announcement that FedEx will begin applying a dimensional weight (DIM) factor of 139 to all SmartPost packages. This change will become effective on Jan. 22, 2018. The change will align SmartPost dimensional weight pricing with that of FedEx Express and FedEx Ground. It also more closely aligns FedEx SmartPost dimensional weight pricing with that of UPS SurePost, although UPS still has a higher DIM factor for packages measuring less than one cubic foot. Costco Wholesale Corporation Reports November Sales Results

Costco Wholesale Corporation reported net sales of $11.26 billion for the month of November, the four weeks ended November 26, 2017, an increase of 13.2 percent from $9.95 billion during the similar period last year. For the twelve-week first quarter of fiscal year 2018 ended November 26, 2017, the Company reported net sales of $31.13 billion, an increase of 13.3 percent from $27.47 billion reported in the twelve-week first quarter of fiscal 2017. While this year’s twelve-week first quarter included one less sales day than the first quarter last year (due to the shift of the Thanksgiving closure this year), pre-Thanksgiving and Black Friday/holiday weekend sales fell into the first quarter this year compared to the second quarter last year. Combined, these factors produced an estimated net benefit of approximately 1.5% in the U.S., and slightly less worldwide.
