Inteplast Engineered Films, Bison Bag Collaborate on Store Drop-Off Recyclable Stand-Up Pouch Portfolio

Inteplast Engineered Films (IEF), manufacturer of blown polyethylene (PE) films, and Bison Bag, a New York-based flexible packaging converter, have developed a comprehensive portfolio of store drop-off recyclable flexible packaging solutions. The stand-up pouches align with brand owners’ sustainable packaging goals and satisfy the increasing demands of end users for more recyclable options.

Bob Stein, president of Inteplast Engineered Films, said that IEF is focused on taking a leadership role in developing sustainable packaging solutions for some time.

“Through projects with suppliers, other Inteplast businesses, and development partners like Bison Bag, IEF has long recognized the exciting opportunity to be a real innovator in the emerging sustainable packaging space. Neiman Marcus Loses its First-Ever Chief Information Security Officer

A little more than two and a half years after Neiman Marcus hired its first chief information security officer, the cybersecurity lead has left the company. A Neiman Marcus spokesperson confirmed that CISO Sarah Hendrickson no longer works at the company. Hendrickson’s LinkedIn page shows that she exited the company in June and now serves as senior vice president of compliance for a company called S3.

AAP September 2022 StatShot Report: Publishing Industry Down 4.5% Year-To-Date and Down 1.4% for September

The Association of American Publishers (AAP) today released its StatShot report for September 2022 reflecting reported revenue for Trade (Consumer Books), Higher Education Course Materials, and Professional Publishing. The report does not include PreK-12 revenue due to delays in data collection. Total revenues across all categories, excluding PreK-12, for September 2022 were down 1.4% as compared to September 2021, coming in at $1.4 billion. Year-to-date revenues were down 4.5%, at $9.3 billion for the first nine months of the year. Trade (Consumer Books) sales were down 2.6% in September, coming in at $917.5 million.
