Public consultation: Canadian forest certification system

As the COP26 summit in Glasgow reached its conclusion, our steadfast commitment towards ensuring sustainability remains at the forefront of our business growth here at HH Global has only strengthened. We are proud to have recently been featured in Deloittes’ Goal 13 Impact Platform Report; a summary of interviews from executive voices and key stakeholders in the market. Having interviewed over 250 companies to date, in sectors from finance to procurement, Deloitte has created a comprehensive summary of how cross-sector collaboration can be harnessed to create the most impactful climate change initiatives. The Goal 13 Impact Platform Report was used throughout the COP26 summit to inform and empower important conversations around businesses’ climate journeys; examining what it takes to make climate programmes successful. It was mentioned at numerous high-profile COP26 events including the CBI business dinner and Hustings.

Best Buy has been awarded a prized position on the CDP Climate A List for our efforts to reduce carbon emissions in the past year. The commendation puts Best Buy in the top 5 percent of thousands of companies that submit annual emissions data and climate management strategies to CDP (formerly Carbon Disclosure Project). We are in good company. Other corporate “A Listers” now include sustainability powerhouses and partners such as Apple, Google, LG, Microsoft, Samsung, Sony and Sprint.

About 146 million tons of municipal solid waste in the U.S. went to landfills in 2018, according to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA). New technology is helping to turn some of that trash into treasure by recovering valuable materials for reuse. That’s where Juno comes in. Georgia-Pacific's first commercial facility with its Juno technology is up and running in Toledo, Oregon. “Juno is a new innovative waste diversion and recycling process that captures recyclable material previously destined for landfill or incineration because of coatings or food contamination,” said John Mulcahy, Vice President – Stewardship for Georgia-Pacific.
