Five million bales wrapped with Trioworld’s bale wrap with post-consumer recycled content

Trioworld launched the first ever Post-Consumer Recyclates (PCR) based bale wrap in Agritechnica 2019, the world’s largest agricultural exhibition. With more than five million bales successfully wrapped in high-performance bale wrap made of recycled content since then, Trioworld now displays a full assortment of premium products for baled silage with recycled content at Agritechnica 2023.

“We believe that this is the bale wrap of the future”, says Anders Larsson, Product manager Agricultural stretch films at Trioworld. “The performance is just as we want it. Silage quality and wrapping performance have proven to be on equal level as with our premium products without PCR. The fact that five million bales have been successfully wrapped with our bale wrap containing recycled material is just additional proof that it really does work”, he continues.

What started with the 25 µm bale wrap film has in the last years grown to a full assortment of PCR based products. The Trioworld PCR bale wrap assortment is based on post-consumer recycled material and certified by RecyClass** and has been used and evaluated by farmers and contractors all around the world. Many years of research and development together with field tests have made it possible for Trioworld to be the first producer to offer options with recycled content for all their premium products for baled silage. What makes this so unique is, that this also includes the more efficient high-tech products with reduced thicknesses of 21 or 19 µm as well as net replacement films.

Sonoco Implementing Price Increase for Uncoated Recycled Paperboard

Sonoco announced it is implementing a $50 per ton price increase for all grades of uncoated recycled paperboard (URB) in the United States and Canada, effective with shipments beginning May 30, 2022. Sonoco said the price change reflects continued tight market conditions and inflationary pressures on manufacturing costs, including energy, freight, chemicals, packaging materials and labor. “Unfortunately, the conditions that challenged us in 2021 have not dissipated in 2022. We continue to be challenged by strong demand, increasing backlogs and inflating costs,” said Tim Davis, Division Vice President and General Manager, Paper – U.S. and Canada.

WestRock Announces Chief Executive Officer Succession Steven C. Voorhees to Step Down as Chief Executive Officer; Board of Directors Elects David B. Sewell as Successor

WestRock Company announced that Steven C. Voorhees has decided to step down from his position as president and chief executive officer and a director of the Company for health reasons, effective March 15, 2021. In addition, the Company’s Board of Directors announced that, following a comprehensive search as part of the Company’s long-term succession processes, it has elected David B. Sewell to succeed Voorhees as WestRock’s president and chief executive officer at that time.
