Ennis, Inc. announced Jeff Monarch as the new General Manager of PrintXcel, located in Fairhope, Alabama. PrintXcel has more than 50 years of experience in printing products and services including checks and forms, direct mail, label form products, multipart mailers, online ordering and print procurement solutions and more. Jeff has been at the PrintXcel facility in Fairhope, Alabama for 31 years. He started in 1990 as a bailer, then became a press operator, and in 2006, he was promoted to Production Manager. In his new role, he will utilize his experience to continue to evolve and grow the business.

Results for the three months ended June 30, 2020, included: *Net Sales (excluding discontinued operations) — Net sales were $585 million in 2020, down 38% from 2019. Sales declined 36% during the quarter, excluding the impact of the January 2020 sale of the Omaha packaging plant primarily due to the economic impact from the COVID-19 pandemic, and ongoing print industry volume and pricing pressures. *Net Loss From Continuing Operations — Excluding the results from discontinued operations, net loss from continuing operations was $15 million in 2020 compared to net loss from continuing operations of $3 million in 2019. Results for the six months ended June 30, 2020, included: *Net Sales (excluding discontinued operations) — Net sales were $1.4 billion in 2020 as compared to $1.9 billion in 2019, down 26%. Sales declined 25% during the six months ended June 30, 2020, after excluding the impact of the January 2020 sale of the Omaha packaging plant primarily due to the economic impact from the COVID-19 pandemic, and ongoing print industry volume and pricing pressures. *Net Loss From Continuing Operations — Excluding the results from discontinued operations, net loss from continuing operations was $24 million in 2020 as compared to net loss from continuing operations of $16 million in 2019.

Graphic Arts Advisors (GAA), a leading M&A advisory and consulting firm serving the printing, mailing, packaging, and graphic communications industries, is pleased to announce the recently completed sale of Action Printing of Fond du Lac, Wisconsin to Marketing.com, headquartered in Eureka, MO with multiple locations throughout the U.S. Michael Wurst, Managing Director of GAA, acted as the lead advisor on this engagement. Action Printing has been in business for over 40 years and is a large commercial printing company that specializes in large multi-page perfect bound catalogs and books. The company produces short to medium runs on uncoated text paper with optional gloss covers and sections. The buyer, Marketing.com, will continue to operate the facility as part of their growing network, employee positions were maintained, and production at the facility continues, now with the added support of the Marketing.com executive team and resources. The facility was purchased as part of the transaction.
