Modern Litho announces long-time General Manager, Skip Bray has been named President of Modern Litho-St. Louis as of July 1, 2022. Under Bray’s leadership, Modern Litho-St. Louis, a division of Modern Litho-Print Co., has grown in every measure of the word in revenue, employees, facility space and significant expansion of product and service offerings to its customers. This growth is a result of both organic customer attraction/retention and strategic acquisitions of several St. Louis Metro based printing companies including Midtown Printing (2013), Trio Printing (2018) and Mulligan Printing (2020).

Highlights: *Continued improvement in profitability in the Packaging Sector and maintained rigorous cost control in the Printing Sector. *Revenues of $655.7 million for the quarter ended October 25, 2020; operating earnings of $81.2 million; and net earnings attributable to shareholders of the Corporation of $51.3 million ($0.59 per share). *Solid financial position with liquidities of $241.0 million and access to unused lines of credit of $432.8 million, for total available liquidities of $673.8 million. *Improved net indebtedness ratio(1) to 1.9x as a result of the decrease in long-term debt of $363.0 million and the increase in adjusted operating earnings before depreciation and amortization(1) during the fiscal year. *Launched new packaging made of 30% post-consumer recycled plastic for the case wrap of AHA® Sparkling Water, a brand of The Coca-Cola Company.

Lancaster, Pa.-based Intellicor Communications purchased the assets of the former Cadmus operations in Lancaster, Pa., and in Hurlock, Md., from Cenveo Worldwide on Aug. 8 — effectively marking the final chapter for the storied Cadmus Communications name in the printing industry. In May, Stamford, Conn.-based Cenveo — which appears to be focusing less on commercial printing and more on its label printing and envelope manufacturing businesses — had shuttered the over-century-old Cadmus printing facility, located on Byrdhill Road in Richmond, Va., impacting 184 workers.
