Taylor Corp. Acquires AccuLink and AccuFlex to Expand Its Printing and Packaging Footprint (whattheythink.com)

The Occasions Group, a Taylor Corporation company, is pleased to announce that it has reached an agreement to acquire the assets of Accu Copy of Greenville, Inc. Headquartered in Greenville, N.C., Accu Copy does business under the AccuLink name to deliver commercial print, direct mail and promotional marketingproducts while its AccuFlex division focuses on the production of flexible packaging products. The acquisition of both AccuLink and AccuFlex expands Taylor’s reach and offers immediate growth opportunities in multiple core categories.

“AccuLink is an ideal fit for The Occasions Group. It complements our business model perfectly and strengthens our capabilities for our distributor and reseller partners,” says Nate Mullikin, enterprise leader at Taylor. “Like us, AccuLink has invested heavily in the digital print space. They operate one of North Carolina’s leading white-label e-commerce fulfillment facilities as well as a wide range of binding, finishing and direct mail services in-house, something we believe to be a long-term growth area.”

AccuLink also has the ability to produce dye sublimation products in quantities as low as one. “Their ability to efficiently and profitably produce personalized giftable items is a game-changer for us. LSC Communications Expands Relationship with Workman Publishing to Include End-to-End Order-to-Cash & Digital Content Management Services

LSC Communications announced a multi-year agreement with Workman Publishing that renews and expands the companies’ relationship. In addition to renewing its printing, warehousing, fulfillment and distribution services, LSC will provide Workman with end-to-end Order-to-Cash (“OTC”) services. LSC’s OTC platform includes customer service, order and credit management, invoicing, cash application, and dispute resolution, as well as sales and inventory analysis reporting. Workman will also join LSC’s digital content management platform Harvest, which provides publishers with opportunities to increase ebook sales through online marketplace monitoring, sales analysis & keyword generation. Mrs. Schleifer’s 3rd Grade at Washington Elementary Names Worzalla’s Mascot Paige Turner

Worzalla's new book mascot will now be known as Paige Turner thanks to Mrs. Schleifer's 3rd grade class at Washington Elementary School in Stevens Point, WI. The class's name Paige Turner was chosen in a round of public voting through Worzalla's Facebook Page, receiving over 800 votes. "We congratulate Mrs. Schleifer's class for coming up with such a creative name that the community loved," said Brianne Petruzalek, Vice President of Human Resources of Worzalla. "We look forward to having Paige Turner out and about in the community to spread the love of reading." At the beginning of the competition, classrooms throughout the Stevens Point area were invited to submit a name along with a rationale for why their entry was the best.
