International Paper announced that Timothy S. Nicholls has been appointed Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, succeeding Glenn R. Landau who is leaving the company for personal reasons. Mr. Nicholls, who currently serves as Senior Vice President - Industrial Packaging the Americas, previously served as Chief Financial Officer of the Company from December 2007 through November 2011. The Company also announced that Jean-Michel Ribiéras, currently Senior Vice President - Global Cellulose Fibers, has been appointed Senior Vice President - Industrial Packaging the Americas, succeeding Mr. Nicholls, and that Catherine I. Cascades Inc. announces the acquisition of four plants in Ontario to strengthen its position in the containerboard packaging sector, and the purchase of an ownership position in Tencorr Holdings Corporation. The company also announces an increase in its equity holding of the Greenpac Mill LLC. The 33.9 million euro investment is focused on equipment upgrades including purchasing state-of-the art machinery for innovative packaging to support ongoing plastic replacement and boost productivity as part of our ambitious growth strategy in the East European market.
