As part of an ongoing commitment to enhance its scholarly publisher services, Allen Press, Inc. is growing the team that delivers those services.
This includes the promotion of Mark Kohlhase to Vice President, Scholarly Publishing Services and Barbara Buzzi to Senior Sales Executive, and the addition of Elizabeth Just as a Sales Executive. Along with Julie Rinke, Senior Vice President, Operations, and Maria Preston-Cargill, Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing, the team will work to enhance scholarly publisher services and grow revenue from society and association publishers.
“Barbara and Mark have been instrumental in improving and growing our scholarly publishing services,” says Maria Preston-Cargill, Allen Press Senior Vice President, Sales and Marketing. “Along with Elizabeth, the team will continue to expand our service offering and maintain Allen Press’s position as a customer-focused publishing service provider.”
Kohlhase has worked at Allen Press for six years and held roles in account management, editorial services and composition. In his new position as Vice President, Scholarly Publishing, he is tasked with providing scientific and professional society customers with the very best publishing systems, workflows, technologies and service.
Buzzi has over 25 years of publishing experience and has been a Sales Executive with Allen Press since 2009. She will continue to utilize her vast industry knowledge to build strong client relationships and help societies and associations in the scientific, technical and medical fields develop successful publishing and editorial programs. Buzzi has been a member of the Society of Scholarly Publishing since 1999 and the Council of Science Editors since 2005.
Just will join Allen Press in February and brings over 20 years of experience in the publishing industry with a strong history of business development. With past roles with Lippincott Williams & Wilkins, Swets Information Services and most recently LM Information Delivery, Just understands the intricacies of the publishing landscape and will work to promote and expand Allen Press’s scholarly publishing services in the Washington D.C. area.
“For over 50 years, Allen Press has prided itself on superior scholarly publishing services,” says Allen Press CEO Randy Radosevich. “We continue to invest in the resources and tools needed to provide the highest level of quality and service to our customers. I’m confident Mark, Barbara and Elizabeth will serve our customers well and maintain our reputation for publishing excellence.”
